Last week, over on Instragram, I announced that I was introducing a book challenge.
As I’ve blogged about before, reading is essential to the developing mind. Sometimes I can get stuck in a rut of reading the same books over and over again with our little one.
Last week I had an “ah ha” moment - what if I created a challenge that focused on improving our respective “libraries” and what we expose our children to? And even better - how great this would be to do as a community!
And so, I invited you to join the #JuneKidsBookChallenge !
Each day, we’ll follow a set of prompts centered around kids books, sharing with each other along the way.
My hope is that through daily sharing we will get great ideas from each other that will lead to wonderful reading and learning experiences with our families.
HERE’S HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
1. Share this image on your own feed to spread the word.
2. Join in the fun by posting a photo of your daily prompt entries using the hashtag #JuneKidsBookChallenge
3. Search the hashtag and engage with others by liking, commenting, and asking questions.
4. Don’t feel like to need to post every day - join in when you can!
Each week, I am planning to share links to the books that I've posted about, in case you are interested in purchasing them!
I'll also do a roundup post from time to time so that you can see what others' in the community are sharing!
